Julie started her career in financial services with Clydesdale bank 13 years ago having graduated from Strathclyde University with an honours degree in Business Law and Human Resource Management. During this time Julie combined her studies and work with her sporting career culminating in representing Scotland at hockey in the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Since then Julie has always enjoyed working as a financial planner both on a self-employed basis and also as part of a team with Caledonia Financial Planning, gaining her diploma in Financial Planning and continues to work towards Chartered status.
Nurtured through her time as part of sporting teams, Julie is now passionate about working hard to help others succeed and reach their financial goals. Julie’s approach is based on building long-lasting relationships based on trust and open communication. Being a working mum herself with two young boys, Julie feels the same pressures and concerns that other females will at different stages of their lives whether that is getting married, buying and moving home or thinking how to plan appropriately to ensure loved ones are adequately provided for in all circumstances.
Julie is delighted to have joined Independent Women, Succession’s new specialist division providing financial advice and services for women and is passionate about supporting other females through the many financial decisions they will face as they look to achieve financial security.
