Senior Group Reporting Accountant
Succession Wealth is a Nationwide Wealth Management advisory brand delivering rich and rewarding experiences for clients with bespoke solutions to achieve their financial goals. Due to significant growth, the Finance Department now require a Senior Group Reporting Accountant to join their reporting team in the Plymouth office.
The Senior Group Reporting Accountant will act as a number two within the Group Reporting team. The team is responsible for delivering financial information to the board, budget holders and key external parties, as well as modelling the future performance of the business.
Key areas of responsibility will include overseeing the monthly management reporting, budget preparation and variance tracking, as well as analysis of key management information and forecasting future performance.
A large part of the role will be to act as the Finance partner to the business and an individual that can confidently work with senior members of the business will be critical.
An ability to analyse, interrogate and understand data from different systems is essential. Additionally, the role-holder will need to be able to present often complex financial information in a format easily understood by non-financial persons.
The role-holder will be expected to independently manage projects within the business and positively identify changes within the business to improve efficiency. It is expected that the role-holder will manage the implementation of these changes by liaising with other teams to enact change.
The group’s strategy is to expand significantly through acquisitions, therefore a pro-active, adaptive and flexible approach will be key given the fast moving nature of the business.

To be successful in the role you will need:
• Professional Accounting Qualification
• Strong MS Excel experience
• Good working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Word
• Past experience of analysing financial data for presentation to external stakeholders
• Experience in data Analysis and Interrogation
• High numerical skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with confidence and with authority
